Our mission is to provide all-encompassing veterinary care, which we achieve through preventative measures and diagnostic medicine.
Dr. Raj Dhanota was a dedicated veterinarian who moved to California in 1998 after graduating from Punjab Agricultural University. From a young age, he had a deep love and fascination for animals, which inspired his lifelong commitment to the veterinary field.
He completed a one-year internship in Alabama, where he had the opportunity to work closely with specialists in surgery, internal medicine, oncology, and ophthalmology. Dr. Raj later purchased Central Valley Veterinary Hospital in Manteca, which had already been serving the local community for over 25 years. Prior to that, he worked at various hospitals throughout the Bay Area and became highly regarded for his expertise in small animal surgery and medicine.
Dr. Raj was especially passionate about preventive medicine, recognizing its growing importance as medical costs continued to rise in both human and veterinary care. He was an active member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, California Veterinary Medical Association, North San Joaquin Veterinary Medical Association, and VIN (Veterinary Information Network), where he often consulted with board-certified specialists regarding complex cases.
Dr. Raj was also a devoted pet parent to two beloved companions—his cat, Rani, and his American Bulldog, Cholo.
We are deeply saddened to share that Dr. Raj Dhanota, a beloved veterinarian and cherished member of the community, passed away on May 31, 2025. His legacy of compassion, skill, and service will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
